Greetings from Newport, Oregon!
Howdy & hope you all are well and as happy as we!
This will be the last day we put in how many days we been here in the title.
Since we come here, we’ve lost all track of time, day & current events.
Got no tv where we staying & no reliable internet yet.
So we get our news brief via NPR in the morning, then we are off to Nature for the rest of the day.
What a relief it has been to experience minute by minute without having time constraints.
No doubt this bliss will come to an end when we get into the projects already lined up.
But more about them later.
Newport is located south of Lincoln City & north of Florence where the Sea Lion Caves are.
That’s on my bucket list.
But we have seen seals already!
At low tide, they do their sunning on a big flat rock just across the road from us!
It was so gratifying to watch wild creatures just being themselves in a moment of peace & safety.
I love Sea Lions!
Anyway back to Newport. We are sitting in the Oceana Co-op Grocery.
They are a membership organization, open to the public, specializing in Oregon made food products.
We’ll have an interview with the manager in another blog.
Newport has a very majestic lighthouse in Yaquina Bay.
The Lady went out in a gale to take snaps all around it.
The kitty & I stayed in the car.
What a trooper he is – she’s taken him out for walks in the woods, to the beach, for long drives.
He is just fascinated by everything.
Not only that but he has a new best friend!
Can you believe it?
Pics of them together soon.
Anyway, we are in the middle of a lively conversation with a Swedish gentleman, so will continue this in a mo.
The Lady can’t talk & type at the same time!
